AGENCIA MARITIMA TURNER Y CIA. (URUGUAY) S.A. was founded in Montevideo in 1978. In January 1997, it changed its name to AGENCIA MARITIMA TRANSHIP (URUGUAY) S.A., being that the unique change in the rules of the company.
Thoughout the years we have extended our scope to attending cargoes in transit and air cargo, being also forwarding agents, while giving deep logistic support to scientific expeditions and permanent attention to fishing-fleets that have in Montevideo their main port. Furthermore, Stevedores contractors tally & Bunkers delivery services are provided.
We can deal with liner vessels, bulkers, tankers, trawlers, etc., attending every and each one of their requirements with swiftness in order to grant safe and fast sailings, avoiding delays. We are also very proud of attending the feeder service which links ports of the Waterway (Hidrovia) and Mercosur (South American Common Market).
MARITIME DEPT
Attending vessels and crew requirements. Arranging entrance and departure of vessels, provision, charts, providing medical attention to crew whenever required, etc.
OPERATIONS DEPT
Dealing with and supervising full vessels operations: before, during and after vessel’s departure, such as berthing, stevedoring, unberthing, etc. Keeping close contact with shipowners, giving/receiving updated information in order to take good care of their interests, keeping owners duly posted.
CUSTOMS AND CONTAINERS DEPT
Deal with documents before Uruguayan authorities. Containers follow up, issue reports, etc.
